About Candice May

As a young Podiatrist practicing in Mosman, Sydney, I was constantly asked for my professional recommendation on footwear. As a Podiatrist I know what shoes we should wear, as a woman I know what shoes we would like to wear, and after many years of studying classical ballet, I know that sore feet is something we could all do without.

In an attempt to keep my patients (and myself) comfortable and stylish, I searched around the World, Googled until my fingers were sore, but I couldn't find any 'Podiatry approved' shoes that I would choose to wear myself. The assignment was clear. Create stylish, comfortable, high quality shoes capable of accommodating an orthotic.

Rather than take an orthopaedic 'grandma' shoes and try to make it look pretty, I started with a fashioniable ballet flat and made it comply with Podiatry standards. The resulting Candice May shoes look like gorgeous ballet flats but function like comfort shoes.

All Candice May shoes come with a complimentary orthotic. This removable orthotic is designed for your comfort, offering mild support but no corrective control. It is suitable even if you would not normally wear or require an orthotic. If you do have orthotics, you can remove the complimentary orthotic and replace it with your own custome prescribed one.
